The national aquatics center, also known as "Water Cube", is located in the Beijing Olympic park. It is the main swimming pool built for the 2008 summer Olympic Games in Beijing and one of the landmark buildings of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Water cube is the largest membrane structure project in the world. Besides the ground, the outer surface adopts the membrane structure -- ETFE material. The blue surface is unexpectedly soft but very substantial. This fully reflects that the membrane structure has good light transmittance.
