Membrane Structure


    This project is located in the seaside tourist attraction area, Maldives. The appearance is unique and beautiful. The structure has good wind and pressure resistance, and has strong practicality. As some of the awnings in this project were extended to the surface of the sea, workers needed to stand on the boat to install the membrane cloth before they could construct it. Therefore, it is very difficult during the installation process, but the construction team still finishes on time under such a difficult situation. After the completion of the membrane structure awning has become the most eye-catching place in the Maldives, while the shade can also watch the sun under the Maldives, deeply loved by tourists.


    This type of structural styling is suitable for seaside resorts, commercial pedestrian streets, parks, parking lots, and landmark buildings. Designers can customize a unique membrane structure based on the environment and terrain of the project site.

Technology and Material

 ◪ 1. All steel tube material is Q235in line with GB700-88.

 ◪2. Joint point of tube use all round angle welding.

  3. Butt weld must be Groove welding penetration-level 3.

 4. Bolts are galvanized common large hex head bolts, in line with GB5780-86; nuts in line with GB41-86.

  5. Manuel-weld uses welding rod E43xx.

  6. Use white pvdf material for the film.

  7. Wire rope standard (GB / t8918-1996), if the project requires a nominal strength of 1570MPA, to surface galvanized processing and installation.

  8. All welds should be checked, standard grade -b.

  9. Rust removal is St3, with zinc-rich epoxy and anti-rust primer primer.

  10. Finish the steel bracket and remove any slag from the weld.

 11. For the processing of properly separated ultra-long steel, the strength of the weld joint on site shall be the same as that of the original steel.

  12. The accuracy of the foundation/embedded plate should be reconfirmed before the steel structure is installed.

 13. The membrane and steel structure installation should be properly arranged.

Appearance inspections are performed on all weld locations. The visual inspection level is Class B.
Rust removal is applied at the surface of all components and the rating is St3.
All steel components are treated with sharp corners, burrs and flashes. After the weld is welded, the slag and spatter are removed.
Super-long steel structural parts are processed in the factory according to the reasonable transport capacity segment, transported to the site assembly welding, and required to ensure that the strength of the assembled weld is stronger than the original steel components.
Prior to installation and construction of steel structures, it is necessary to check and measure the precision of embedded parts in advance.
Reasonably arrange the installation sequence of steel structure and membrane structure.
